Energy Audits
Before making significant investments in energy efficiency measures (EEMs), you need the best energy audit you can get. A poor Level II or investment grade Level III energy audit can result in reduced or little benefit over the long-term.
MEP Services regularly provides clients with the highest quality analysis and recommendations for making energy efficiency investment decisions.
We have the knowledge, capability, experience and integrity to make your energy efficiency project successful. Our regular hands-on designing, installing, operating and maintaining MEP infrastructure give us the experience and insight other energy auditors don’t have. Furthermore, we have more energy resources available to us than any other mechanical contractor in the Northeast since our parent, Equans, is technical services company with global capabilities.
When it comes to the integrity of your energy audit, it’s important to know that we are brand-independent with hardware recommendations we make. Our only goals are your satisfaction and the success of your energy efficiency project.
The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) defines three levels of energy audits:
- Level I: Site Assessment or Preliminary Audits identify no-cost and low-cost energy saving opportunities, and a general view of potential capital improvements.
- Level II: Energy Survey and Engineering Analysis Audits build on Level I results plus recommendations for energy efficiency measures based on in-depth analysis of energy costs, energy usage and building characteristics and a more refined survey aligned with financial plans and potential energy savings opportunities.
- Level III: Detailed Analysis of Capital-Intensive Modification Audits (“investment grade” audits) include monitoring, data collection and engineering analysis, detailed recommendations and financial analysis for major capital investments along with all Level I and Level II information.
