Process Piping Solutions
Process piping is not a single type of pipe but an assortment of various piping. It is not the piping used for building services nor that used in steam, high pressure or high water temperature situations such as that used with boilers or HVAC systems. Process piping is, however, typically found in refineries, chemical, pharmaceutical, textile, paper, semiconductor and cryogenic plants and related processing plants.
At MEP Services, we understand very well the complexities of designing commercial process piping such as:
- Choosing the right materials
- Proper design to minimizes effects from:
- Stress
- Growth
- Weather
- Other variables
- Efficient selection and layout of:
- Supports
- Instrumentation
- Valving
- Drains & cleanouts
- Other inline devices
We fabricate pipe assemblies in our more than 40,000 square feet of shop floor space and automated plasma cutter, and MIG, TIG and orbital welders to improve quality and simplify field installation. We handle up to 40” diameter pipe.
Various facilities such as food processing, wineries, beverage production and cosmetics require ultra-high purity piping.
We also hold ASME “U” and “S” stamps plus the National Board “R” stamp allowing us to repair ASME-rated pressure vessels and boilers.
And, since process piping often requires “skidded” equipment, we design and assemble modular skids with interconnecting piping, electrical power and controls for equipment such as heat exchangers, pumps, air compressors, condensers, vacuum equipment and process systems. This improves project quality while making installation easier and more timely.
